Let me ask you this question...would YOU like it if someone put salt water on YOUR open wound? Lol..I would not..same goes for lemon juice.
That said....dogs have the ability to nurture their own wounds, just keep it clean by not letting the dog outside for long periods and your dog will lick the wound until it is healed.
